Warranty Terms

Last updated: July 2026  ·  Eco Care Solutions Ltd

All installations carried out by Eco Care Solutions Ltd are backed by our 10-year workmanship warranty, in addition to the manufacturer warranties provided on all equipment we install. These terms explain what is covered, how to make a claim, and your statutory rights.

1. Workmanship warranty

Eco Care Solutions Ltd provides a 10-year workmanship warranty on all domestic renewable energy installations we complete. This covers defects arising from our installation work — including wiring, fixings, commissioning, and jointing — where those defects are attributable to the standard of our workmanship rather than component failure or external factors.

This warranty applies from the date of practical completion as recorded on your handover documentation.

2. Manufacturer warranties

All equipment we supply and install is covered by the relevant manufacturer's product warranty. These warranties are provided directly by the manufacturer and are separate from our workmanship warranty. Typical manufacturer warranties include:

Product typeTypical manufacturer warranty
Solar PV panels10–12 years product, 25 years performance
Solar inverters5–10 years (varies by brand)
Battery storage systems10 years (most brands)
Air source heat pumps2–5 years standard; extended available with registration
Solar thermal collectors5–10 years (varies by brand)

We will provide you with all manufacturer warranty documentation at handover. We will also assist you in registering your products with the manufacturer where this is required to activate the full warranty term.

3. What the workmanship warranty covers

  • Defects in installation workmanship arising within 10 years of the installation date
  • Faults attributable to incorrect installation, wiring errors, or commissioning failures
  • Structural fixings and penetrations installed by our team
  • Return visits to rectify any workmanship defect at no charge to you

4. What the workmanship warranty does not cover

  • Component or product failures covered under manufacturer warranty
  • Damage caused by third parties, storm, flood, fire, or other events outside our control
  • Faults arising from modifications or repairs carried out by a third party without our agreement
  • Normal wear and tear or consumable items (e.g. glycol in solar thermal systems)
  • Systems that have not been maintained in accordance with manufacturer guidance
  • Consequential losses (loss of generation, SEG payments, etc.) unless caused directly by our proven workmanship defect

5. Making a warranty claim

To make a warranty claim, contact us as soon as you become aware of a potential defect:

Please provide your name, address, installation date (if known), and a description of the issue. We will respond within 2 working days and aim to inspect any reported defect within 10 working days.

6. Your statutory rights

This warranty is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Under that Act, services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. If we fail to meet that standard, you have legal remedies regardless of the terms of this warranty. If you are unsure of your rights, you can contact Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133.

7. Transferability

Our workmanship warranty is tied to the installation address and transfers automatically to a new owner if you sell the property within the warranty period. Please ensure the new owner is made aware of the warranty and retains a copy of the original handover documentation.
